— Mission statement

We are a non-governmental organization established in February 2002. Our aim is to strengthen justice and democracy in Turkey and to reinforce equality between women and men by mobilizing existing international and national laws, regulations and resources within governmental and non-governmental institutions for the benefit of women, by developing necessary mechanisms to use them effectively and efficiently and by facilitating the access of large groups of women to these institutions.

— Our team

We are a group of scholars, activists and business professionals who are both academically and practically experienced in gender issues. The diverse backgrounds of our members (politics, sociology, law, economy-finance, organization, business, consultancy, microcredit) allow us to approach gender from a variety of different perspectives, which complement each other in productive ways. Moreover, almost all of our members have close connections to women's NGOs in Turkey and abroad.
